Internet Cafes
There are relatively few internet cafes available in Kyoto. Most are found in Kyoto's downtown district. However, with the growing popularity of both computing and on-line games, Kyoto's internet availability is growing at an ever-increasing pace.
Wireless LAN
There are several access points in Kyoto Station, but we advise that you check locations beforehand. Major hotels generally have either wireless LAN or cable LAN facilities. Check with your hotel beforehand.
Mobile (cell) phones
Unless your current mobile phone, PDA, etc. is international capable, you will not be able to use it in Japan due to the different systems. However, you can rent mobile phones from Kansai International Airport for a modest fee.
