Ippodo is a Japanese green tea specialist with its main store located in Kyoto. Trading in "kyo-meicha" tea, distinguished by its gentle aroma, refined sweetness and smooth taste, this is a time-honored tea store with a calm and tranquil character. Ippodo does not stop at merely selling tea, and is also dedicated to communicating the charm and fascination of the tea leaf.
At the "KABOKU" tearoom, choose your preferred tea leaf from matcha (powdered green tea), gyokuro (a smooth and elegant green tea), sencha (the quintessential everyday Japanese tea), hojicha (roasted tea with a rich aroma) or genmaicha (a blend of tea and roasted rice) amongst others, and learn the brewing technique from staff.
