The Hankyu Railway is convenient for going from central Kyoto to Arashiyama. It runs between Kyoto and Osaka.

 

The Kyoto Line of the Hankyu Railway runs from Kyoto-kawaramachi Station to Osaka-umeda Station, and the Arashiyama Line runs from Arashiyama Station to Katsura Station. Using the Hankyu Railway, you can move smoothly between Arashiyama and the Karasuma-Kawaramachi area, the center of tourist activity in Kyoto, even during the peak tourist season.
