Kurama/Kibune

■Access from Kyoto Station
Take the JR Nara Line to Tofukuji Station, which is one stop away. The ride takes about 3 minutes.
At Tofukuji Station, transfer to the Keihan Railway and head to the final stop, Demachiyanagi Station. It takes about 12 minutes to Demachiyanagi Station.
Exit the north ticket gate of Demachiyanagi Station and head to Demachiyanagi Station on the Eizan Railway (Eiden). The Eizan Railway train station is located above ground.
 
[When heading to Kurama]
Take the Eizan Railway Kurama Line to Kurama Station. The ride from Demachiyanagi Station to Kurama Station on the Eizan Railway takes about 30 minutes.
After getting off at the last stop, Kurama Station, it is only about a 5-minute walk to Kurama-dera Temple.
 
Kurama is located in the mountainous area of northern Kyoto City.

[When heading to Kibune]
As with the Kurama route above, take the Eizan Railway Kurama Line and get off at Kibuneguchi Station. The ride from Demachiyanagi Station to Kibuneguchi Station on the Eizan Railway takes about 28 minutes.
From the bus stop in front of Kibuneguchi Station, transfer to Kyoto Bus No. 33 and go to the Kibune bus stop, which will take you right there. The bus ride takes about 7 minutes.
The area between Kibuneguchi-ekimae and Kifune Shrine is not covered by the Subway & Bus 1-day Pass.
 
From Kyoto Station, you can take the Subway Karasuma Line to Kokusaikaikan (Kyoto International Conference Center) Station, and from there you can take the Kyoto Bus No. 52 to Kibuneguchi Station or Kurama Station.
 
■Access from Shijo Kawaramachi (Keihan Gion-shijo Station)
From Keihan Gion-shijo Station, head for the last stop, Demachiyanagi Station. It takes about 7 minutes to arrive.
